The following information is available for Berkeley Baptist Church:
Berkeley Baptist Church is a Baptist church located in Berkeley Springs, Morgan County, West Virginia.
We believe the passionate display of God's love through Jesus Christ demonstrates and mandates that we have a deepening love with God, one another, and a hurting world. In recognizing this, we commit ourselves to a philosophy of evangelism (teaching others to know God), discipleship (teaching others to grow in their relationship with God), enhancing the church (teaching people to become active members in the universal church that Christ is head of), and missions (teaching others to go to a lost and dying world). Sunday Services: Fellowship breakfast: 9:00 a.m. Sunday School 9:30 a.m. Morning Worship 10:45 a.m. AWANAS: 6:00 p.m. Wednesday Services: Adult Bible Study 7:00 p.m. Rev. Joseph N. Giles, Jr. - Pastor

What has happend at Berkeley Baptist Church lately? Here you can find relevant news:
We have been given a wonderful opportunity to minister to a young woman in our community. I need a strong, discipled, Christian woman affiliated with our church to serve as a mentor to this young woman. This means spiritually investing in all aspects of her life. If you feel God calling you to this challenge, please contact Pastor Joey Giles ASAP. [email protected]
Pastor Joey Giles will be speaking this Wednesday night at Union Chapel UMC, 10123 Valley Rd., just passed the Dollar General on US 522S, for their Lent Evening Service. He will be speaking on 10 ways Jesus bled for us! Join us and many of the church families of Morgan County for dinner beginning at 6, followed by music and message! In lieu of this event, Wednesday night Bible Study at BBC is cancelled!
Happy Birthday Pastor Joey!
Think about it!
What a wonderful day at Berkeley Baptist Church. We worshipped in song and Word with an enthusiasm that has been lagging lately! We then enjoyed a soup and sandwich lunch which was followed by a vision meet meeting. We have a new vision statement! Berkeley Baptist Church: Taking His Light Into The World! A special thanks to our worship team for the uplifting music, to Tiffany Giles for setting up the fellowship hall for the meal, and Tina, Lynette, Betty, Bobbi Lea, and Tiffany for making soup and arranging sandwiches. If you missed being at BBC today, you missed a blessing and I truly feel sad for you! Know that you were missed!
This morning at Berkeley Baptist Church: ☕️, 👖, & ✝️! For those of you not down with emojis, that’s Java, Jeans, & Jesus! Today we will study Jesus’ last I AM statement, I AM the True Vine! Come learn what it means to stay connected to Jesus and how He advised to remain in Him; then stay for a soup and sandwich lunch as we talk about, pray over, and decide the new vision statement for Berkeley Baptist Church! Sunday School fellowship at 9:30, preworship fellowship at 10:45, and worship at 11 in the Charles Morris Family Life Center!
Do you pray that God would bring people into your path that you can witness to? If not, you should!
Just a reminder: Part Two of Berkeley Baptist Church’s Vision Meeting takes place after Java, Jeans, and JESUS this Sunday. Soup and sandwiches will be provided once again. The goal of this meeting is to walk away with, at minimum, a top 3 selection for a new vision statement and, at highest hopes, a brand new statement to guide our future endeavors!
In all aspects of life, from church life to home life, from your family at home, at work, and at church, COMMUNICATION IS KEY!!! The Bible is clear about rumors, rumblings, gossip, and hearsay. It condemns rash and angry words and commends those who think before they speak. Jesus dedicated much discussion to one on one communication and restoration! What can we draw from this? Communication is a cornerstone to kingdom growth! Whatever you do, whether at home, at work, or at church, communication is key!
Everyone pray for Anne Walsh. She’s back at the local ER. Medication issues.
Jesus told His disciples: "I am the way, the truth, and the life; nobody comes to the Father except through me!" There is a lot to unpack in this statement. Join us tomorrow at 10:45 at Berkeley Baptist Church as we look at Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life!
Another prayer request: Sue Gusciora tried to catch her husband John as he fell the other night and went down herself. She has a broken hip. Per Karen Burcham, she is having surgery tomorrow or Monday. Please pray for a smooth surgery and quick recovery. She is at Winchester!
Update on Pat Creel Place and Anne Walsh: Pat was admitted last night. Earlier today they switched out medications. The bad news is they’re still having problems regulating her heart rate. Good news is scans came back showing a healthy heart with great blood flow! Still needs to come out of Afib though. Anne was awake tonight and lucid (hasn’t been the case for last few days). Every test so far has come back fine. We’re grateful for every scenario eliminated but we still have no answers to her current problems! Please continue to pray for both of these Christian women!
Anne Walsh is how in Winchester as well. She was experiencing chest pains this morning and Allan took her directly there. As of now, nothing revealed through tests. Please say a prayer for her healing!
A prayer request: Earlier today Pat Creel Place was taken from her Doctor’s office to Winchester Medical Center after having been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (afib). She is being admitted. The good news is Doctors have lowered her heart rate with medicine. Don’t know about long term prognosis, but she has okayed putting the prayer request out there. So please pray for Pat and family.
Due to technical difficulties, we were unable to show the Annie Armstrong video Sunday. Here is one that was posted to the Blue Ridge Baptist Association’s page.
Just a reminder!
Congratulations to John and Elsie Gillies Coleman on the birth of another grandchild. John and Tiffany Testa welcomed their first born, Dominic Anthony this morning. Will miss John and Elsie at church tomorrow, but we completely understand! P.S. Elsie, he may have gotten here sooner than the 29th, but my beautiful Bigmama was born on March 9! He’s already in great company! -Pastor Joey
